Lumbini Province Health Minister Raju Khanal has said that the provincial government is working hard to provide easy access to health institutions for the people. He said that even in government hospitals in the province, they are developing the entire health treatment system with essential service facilities so that common people can receive treatment.

He said that citizens who cannot get treatment in private hospitals due to lack of money should get easy treatment for their diseases from government hospitals.

He said that the Ministry of Health is carrying out financial and administrative work for that. Speaking at the 140th anniversary ceremony of Lumbini Provincial Hospital located in Butwal on Tuesday, he said that Lumbini Provincial Hospital will be developed as a hospital where the people of the western region can get all the specialized health care . He stressed that the construction of a new 10-storey building with state-of-the-art structures in the hospital should be completed on time.

Health Minister Khanal mentioned that the government is working as per the efforts to advance the Lumbini Provincial Hospital according to the Gaurav plan of the province . "Our needs are many, if we are not able to increase its quality, if we are not able to provide manpower and equipment, we will not be able to provide the treatment services that the people want," he said. Minister Khanal emphasized that the hospital should be developed as a place where not only Nepalese but also foreigners come for treatment.

hospital's medical superintendent Dr. Presenting the annual report, Sudarshan Thapa said that the hospital has expanded more than one and a half dozen services in the current financial year alone.

Mesu Thapa informed about the achievements of establishment of SNCU with 15 bed capacity, establishment of PICU with 6 bed capacity, expansion of 8 bed NICU to 12 beds, establishment of birthing center, operation of cathlive, operation of Interscope, establishment of kindergarten. Similarly, he mentioned that online tickets will also be arranged in the near future.

hospital has 127 doctors (specialist medical officers), 294 nursing staff, 157 paramedics staff, 28 administrative staff (administration, accounting and IT), 189 office assistants/cleaners, 26 security guards and 28 other staff. A total of 851 employees are employed.
