One dead, 13 injured when bus overturns in Rautahat

One person was killed in a passenger bus accident on Gaur-Chandranigahpur section of Rautahat on Saturday morning. Thirteen passengers were injured in the accident.
DSP Eliza Giri, Spokesperson of District Police Office Rautahat informed that Nehakumari Giri, the 18-year-old daughter of Shailendra Kumar Giri of Madhavnarayan Municipality-3 Velhi, died when the bus No. 7 B 8414 was coming from Gaur near Jayanagar Chowk in Garuda Municipality-1 towards Bhairawa and overturned.
After receiving the news of the accident, teams from the area police office Garuda and Shivnagar reached and rescued the injured. The police sent the injured to a local hospital for treatment.
DSP Giri said that 26-year-old Ranjudevi Das was being treated at Grandi Hospital in Shivnagar as her right arm was broken in the accident. She informed that the bus driver is absconding and the search is on.
