Corruption in the construction of 300 meters of road

According to Section 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059, all three have committed an offense under Section 8 (1) (c) and Section 8 (1) (e) of the same Act with the intention of causing illegal benefits to themselves and illegal damage to the Government of Nepal. According to the authority, it has been confirmed that the offense has been committed as per Section 19(2) after giving the report. It has been demanded in the charge sheet to imprison and fine them 3 lakh 47 thousand rupees accordingly.

In addition, Govinda Prasad Mandal, the owner of Gunja Construction, Khadak-8, Saptari, signed the agreement of the plan and submitted the contract bill, bill and other compensation documents stating that the work has started and the construction work has been completed, but he has done more than what was done according to the terms and conditions of the contract. The Authority is of the opinion that the overvaluation was done and the payment of 3 lakh 47 thousand rupees was taken. Stating that he has committed an offense under Section 8, Sub-Section (4) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059, the Authority has also fined him Rs 347,000. It is mentioned in the statement issued by the spokesperson of the Authority, Narahari Ghimire, that the charge sheet was filed in the special court on Tuesday with the demand of upholding the punishment.
