Distribution of fans to schools in Biratnagar after extreme heat

Madhu Tiwari, Acting Head of Biratnagar Metropolitan Municipality, informed that fans were purchased from the allocated budget of the current financial year 2080/81 and distributed to the school principals. Municipal Corporation Chief Nagesh Koirala had announced last year that fans would be installed in the classrooms of all public schools.

According to Sushil Dahal, officer of the educational administration division of the metropolis, five to 20 ceiling fans have been provided to the school. He said that there is a need for 1000 fans in public schools, but due to lack of budget, only 500 fans were distributed immediately.

Fans have been distributed to public schools with the amount of 2 million allocated in the year 2080/81 under the Educational Administration Division. At present, the daily temperature in this area is between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius.
