The government cannot create writers. Even the most powerful people in the world can't. But the government can give opportunities to those who are confused and stuck in other professions to earn a living despite being talented. A

opportunity brings out the hidden talent within. When you get the chance, you will make yourself a writer. Who are born with the gift of writing. To make yourself an artist, who is born with an artist's musk. Make yourself the sportsman and scientist who are born with that kind of musk. Opportunity with financial security helps to spread the fragrance of the musk that is locked inside the person. Therefore, the country needs to develop. Developed countries are mostly developed in all areas. Literature also evolves.

Now let's move on to the topic of how writing can be developed. In poor countries there are many stories, because there are many sorrows. But not much literature is written there. Even when written, they are rarely excellent. In other words, the literature of poor countries is poor. There are fewer stories in developed countries, because there is less pain. But there is a lot of literature being written. Most of them are excellent. In other words, the literature of a rich country is also rich.

There are many literary institutions and publishers in the state and private sector. Government literary institutions are often limited to rituals due to the influence of bad politics and lack of necessary budget. Private publishing houses, which are also linked to business, have fared better than government ones. Some practices of selection of authors, editing, quality printing and promotion on the part of some private publishers have been going on since the 60s. But it is not enough.

In 2065, GTZ, an international non-governmental organization run in Nepal with the investment of Germany, sent five writers to write in five cities of Nepal - Bhaktapur, Dharan, Butwal, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi - as Town Writer Residence Program. I was selected for Nepalgunj. I stayed there for two months and wrote the story 'Pani Ko Gham', which is my first book.

There are many villages in our country. There are many stories. Absence and emotion. of nature and culture. Complexity within simple life. There are more than 124 languages ​​spoken in our country. The more languages ​​there are, the more cultures, customs and traditions there are. It is a treasure of earthy fragrance for literature.

In Germany, the local government there selects good writers every year from the Town Writer Residency Program project and gives them a house and good financial facilities to write for one year. There is a great prestige to be chosen as the Town Writer. There are examples of town writers who have even won the Nobel Prize.

Village writing residential program can be conducted on behalf of the government by providing sufficient economic and social facilities in our country. If we do this, on one hand, our story will be written, on the other hand, literature will become rich, through which Nepal can be known to the world. In the year 2027, under the plan of King Mahendra, the then Nepal Government Prajna Pratishthan sent five writers under the leadership of culturalist Satya Mohan Joshi to Karnali, from which five books called Karnali Folk Culture came out. Those books are just as important today. All the five books won the prestigious Madan Award.

At this time, the country has gone to federalism and the local government has become somewhat stronger. He can describe the local society, culture, tradition, Raithane philosophies etc. in letters in a meaningful and beautiful manner. There are not many good writers. This is what they are known for. New talent should be identified by searching or giving opportunities. They are hidden like diamonds in coal.

Metropolis, city and rural municipality or state government can give financial and social security to good writers to bring out the story of their place and give them writing skills in a planned way. If municipalities invest only 0.5 percent of their budget in such activities, they can achieve more results than investing 20/30 percent in other areas.

If such plans are given based on the request of the author of his circles and ideas, there may be another accident. Since this is seen in other areas, this disease can also spread here. If this disease is transmitted, it will be an unwritten caste rather than a written one.

Money is an important tool for creative work like literature, art. That is why even good writers write well, he is financially secure and the writing needs to be professional. The power of letters is so great that during the time of Ram, there were powerful princes and kings like him, but the stories of others were not written. Valmiki wrote the story of Rama. She is now God. If Valmiki had not written the story of Rama, we would not have known him. The God of those who believed in God would be reduced. So many Ram temples would not have been built.

People don't live forever but stories of people can live forever. For that, a good writer should be able to write efficiently. Investing in letters means saving the stories of our ancestors and the ones we live for generations to come.

Now let's move on to the issue of whether literature is productive or unproductive. In a country like ours, there is a common belief that literature is an unproductive field. Getting into it is a waste of time and investing in it is pouring water into the sand. Such recognition would not have developed if literature was also linked to income. Literature is the most creative field, made up of the organs of letters that never decay. It is the art of discovering a new world of the heart. It is the basis for building ideas and theories.

We remember writers from Valmiki to Devkota in the East, from Homer in the West to 2023 Nobel Laureate Norwegian writer Yun Fossa. If there is no creative field, why do we still remember the writers of thousands of years ago?

The British constitution belongs to him alone. It has no power outside Britain, which rules only there. But the British writer Shakespeare's literature is not only of Britain, but of the world. His works rule the hearts of people all over the world. That too with love. The powerful people of the world have masterpieces on their pillows, which makes them tender, sensitive and creative. If there was no literature, how much more cruel would the powerful rulers of the world be?

Therefore, literature is not only a productive thing, but also an art of making hard people soft. Therefore, the state needs to invest in literature and art. Literature tells the story of the society and people of that country. If you want to understand a country, you must understand not only its geography, but also its literature. A country's success lies in literature. How is procrastination unproductive?

Now let's get to the heart of the writing and the Mofalsal context. Earlier it was believed that one should come to the capital to be established as a writer. The capital was called the center and the outside was called the mofusal, where the literati considered themselves marginalized. Capital was needed to be published and disseminated. It also had communications under some media houses, newspapers and publishing houses. Poet Krishnabhushan Bal has a poem:

Kathmandu alone can no longer carry Kathmandu.

Kathmandu alone can no longer define the whole of Nepal.

This poem is a revolt against Kathmandu from the pain of Mofusal. Now the center has collapsed. You can sit in any corner of the world and show your work to the world.

The area of ​​the earth is the same but communication and social media have made the earth so narrow that we can tell and show our things to people all over the world from one place. Even if the country's major media outlets do not provide space, we can keep our content by connecting an Android mobile or laptop to the Internet while sitting at home. So the world has become narrow, as if the whole earth is a village.

Writers can use this feature to capture the world's attention and use the opportunity. Can attract the attention of publishers and readers.

Now let's move on to the publishing and reader context.

Earlier it was considered a big deal to publish a book through common publishing and Pragya Pratishthan. Being printed was like being established. Those who did not have access to it, no matter how talented, had to wait years for it to be published. Private publishing houses were not so professional. Still yet to be commercial though. However, there are now some publishers who look for good manuscripts. New writers and publishers have an important role to play in promoting reading culture.

A good writer can write a good book by going to different places and doing research even if he puts himself at risk for a few years. He can hone his talent through study and practice and show it to the world. You don't have to look at the face of the government for that. At this time a man of any talent should not be confined to the narrow confines of the country. If someone has a lot of talent, the earth is the country for him.

This is the time when the author himself writes well and makes his readers himself. It's time to make your own world. So a talented writer can reach all over the world and shock not only the government but the world as well. This facility is now provided by technology.

Therefore, a good translation is necessary to put our literature in the hearts of people all over the world.

Even though Nepal is a small country, it is a country with many languages. The more languages, the more cultures, customs and fundamental philosophies there are. There are so many folklores and customs. Such things are the living material for the creation of literature, which not only tells the story of the soil in which it lives but also preserves its original existence and through translation that existence can be spread around the world.

Literature is not as easy to take around the world as sports and painting or sculpture. Even when there is a translation, it is not a complete translation. Therefore, a translator with a good knowledge of the source language and the target language is required.

literature is strictly personal and heartfelt publication. But it is related to the society, the country and the whole world. Even if it is completely personal, there is a society that the writer has heard, seen, and lived in, and there are many people in the society. There are countries, times and circumstances. Literary translation means translation into country words and literature.

The world's most prestigious Nobel Prize. Till date, none of our country's writers and their works have participated there. One day even Nepal can win the Nobel Prize if the work is translated skillfully and at least shows its presence. There is no time to bask in the glory of the country of Buddha, the country of Mount Everest and the country of heroic Gorkhali. Now Nepal should be recognized in the world as the country of such and such writer/literature. Then our writers will be from all over the world.
