British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has expressed his commitment to increase cooperation and cooperation between Britain and Nepal in the fields of trade, investment and climate change.

Prime Minister Sunak discussed various dimensions of historical relations between Nepal and Britain and praised the contribution of British Gorkhas in bilateral relations. Addressing the Nepali community for the first time in his office Ten Downing Street, the Prime Minister recalled the past visit of British King Charles to Nepal and said that he was inspired by the famous work and achievements of the Nepali diaspora in the UK in various fields. In addition, Acharya also expressed the belief that Nepal-UK bilateral relations will be strengthened in the next 100 years by expanding them to more areas.

Britain's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anne Marie Trevallyan said that the UK will continue to support Nepal's development efforts and support Nepal's goal of becoming a middle-income country by further expanding economic relations. The

event was attended by the Nepalese community, ex-Gorkhas, British parliamentarians and high-ranking officials who are involved in various professions and businesses in the UK and British people who love Nepal.

A program was held at the Prime Minister's Office to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the 1923 Treaty of Friendship between Nepal and Britain. The program was supported by the Nepali Embassy in London and the leaders of the Nepali community, Rabindrajung Lamichhane, Prashant Kunwar, councilors of Nepali origin and others. Before addressing the program, Ambassador Acharya explained the treaty to Prime Minister Sunak.
