A corruption case has been filed against Vikal Poudel, the then executive director of Surakshan Printing Center, Safal Shrestha, the then director of National Information Technology Center, and the company on the charge of irregularities in the purchase of security printing equipment.
The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a corruption case in a special court demanding more than 40 million begos on Sunday.
Surakshan Printing Center, Kathmandu has mentioned that while calling for tenders for the purchase of software and other equipment of Surakshan Press, it should be in accordance with the prevailing laws related to public procurement, and it has been found that the property of the Government of Nepal has been unlawfully harmed as there is no healthy competition with certain limited individuals or companies. .
The authority has mentioned in the charge sheet that it was found to have misused government funds in the said action.
