Nepal Police has arrested four people along with the gold brought from Tribhuvan International Airport by evading customs and made it public on Sunday. Those arrested are 31-year-old Saroj Koirala of Morang Kerabari Rural Municipality-9, 24-year-old Mohammad Inteyaz Alam of Rautahat Kataharia Municipality-6, 21-year-old Mohammad Arman of Saptari Surunga Municipality-5 and 37-year-old Ziaudin Mian of Saptari Khadak Municipality-6.
Police seized 25 grams of gold from Koirala and Alam and 69.99 It has been reported that gram gold was recovered along with raw bullion. Similarly, Armaan and Mian were arrested with 50 grams of gold Sikri according to the Police Headquarters, Central News Room.
They were arrested from the international arrivals parking area of the airport according to the Police Headquarters.
