The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has started demolishing the houses built by mixing the road area around Gaushala Chowk from Sunday.
Naveen Manandhar, the spokesperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, informed that the buildings built by encroaching on the land against the standards have been demolished using dozers.
He said, 'The houses and shutters built by encroaching on the roadside around Gaushala Chowk have started to be demolished from today. How many houses there are will be known only after they are demolished.'
Only on Friday, the team of Kathmandu Metropolitan City demolished the non-standard structures built around the collapsed bridge.
