Poonam Bhandari, Nepal and Bhutan Country Director of HCP CureBlindness, has received the prestigious IAPB Youth System Leader Award by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB). This award was given at the IAPB 2030 Insight Live conference held in Mexico City.
IAPB has been honoring young leaders from various backgrounds. IAPB has selected 9 exceptional youth system leaders for this award. They will celebrate efforts to build sustainable and effective eye care systems that go beyond traditional interventions.
Bhandari's leadership and dedication has been critical to HCP CureBlind's vision prevention mission. Stewardship has an important role to play in improving eye care services and building sustainable healthcare systems. As a testament to the impact of collaborative efforts in building sustainable eye care systems, the IAPB Youth Systems Leader Award recognizes Bhandari's remarkable contributions.
