Assisted official waste management/recycling partner Avani Ventures to recycle waste collected through Safa Himal Abhiyan 2024. In this campaign, more than 11,000 kg of garbage and remains of 5 bodies including 1 skeleton have been collected from Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.
Safa Himal Campaign-2024 was conducted from Chaitra 29 to May 23 last year under the leadership of the Nepali Army in collaboration with other government agencies.
Unilever directly supported the Nepali Army in the Safa Himal campaign in 2021, 2022 and 2023. According to the Nepali Army, more than 108 tons of garbage and the remains of 12 dead bodies have been collected in the Safa Himal campaign that started in 2019.
A campaign has been launched to protect the natural beauty of the mountains to minimize climate change. Unilever believes that sustainability and change should be supported and practiced to improve the environment .
