Biratnagar's Sita-Balamukund Pokhrel Foundation has announced two awards in literature and social service. This year the award will be given to poet Kunta Sharma for literature and Shyam Prasad Adhikari 'Hidpali Sailo' for social service.
Sharma has been contributing to the growth of literature through the genre of poetry for five decades, while Adhikari has been independently dedicated to social service for four decades. Suresh Village, president of the foundation, said that both the prizes worth 25 thousand 250 rupees will be awarded in Biratnagar on June 15
The patrons of the newly formed foundation are Sita Pokhrel, founder president of Purvanchal Balseva Ashram, Biratnagar, Balamukund Pokhrel, Sayoh Pokhrel, Seema Pokhrel and Santosh Pokhrel.
