In coordination with the Nepali Embassy in Cairo, an art and photo exhibition titled "Nepali face painting" by Egyptian artists has been organized in the same embassy.

As part of the Nepal-Egypt bilateral cultural exchange promotion program, the exhibition hosted by Galal Goma, an Egyptian artist who creates from wire, wood and stone, featured photos taken in Nepal by photojournalist and documentary maker Ashraf Talat and photographer Yasser Ala Mubarak, and facial portraits of 18 artists including Fauzi Morsi. Third Secretary of the Embassy Madhavraj Kafle informed. The

exhibition included pictures taken by Ashraf Talat in Mustang and Lumbini last March and May and pictures taken by Yasser Ala around the Pashupatinath temple last Shivaratri. On that occasion, the Egyptian MP Dr. Mai Al-Batran expressed the opinion that the art exhibition with the use of new concepts will help to strengthen people-to-people relations between the two countries.

Nepali Ambassador to Egypt Sushil Kumar Lamsal expressed his gratitude to the photographers and artists for vividly portraying the diverse landscape and cultural heritage of Nepal and the Nepali face. He said that the creation of artists will contribute to the promotion of cultural relations between the two countries. He also presented certificates of appreciation to the participating artists. Photojournalists Ashraf Talat and Yaser Ala, who participated in the

exhibition, while describing their visit to Nepal, said that the exchange of visits between the two countries is increasing at the public level. The

exhibition featured wire sculptures by artist Galal Goma as well as a diverse collection of caricature art by Fauzi Morsi, Khaled Al Marsafi, Khaled Salah, Shima Shafei, Ahmed Gesa, Marwa Ibrahim, Noura Makram, Safia Yahya, Hani Hassan Abdelgah, Hani Hassan Abdelgah. The exhibition included 'caricatures' dedicated to more than 15 Nepali people, including Rajarshi Janak, Pasanglhamu Sherpa and Sanduk Ruit, created by caricaturists.
