Venezuela and Mexico have won the Group B match of the Copa America. Venezuela defeated Ecuador 2-1, while Mexico beat Jamaica 1-0. After these initial results, Venezuela and Mexico are in the top two positions in the group.
Along with this, both teams were able to strengthen their chances of reaching the knockout stage . Venezuela came from behind by one goal to win. Jeremy Sarmiento's goal gave Ecuador an early lead.
Venezuela scored two goals in the second half. Zander Cadiz scored in the 64th minute and Evardo Bello in the 74th minute.
In the victory obtained by Mexico, Gerardo Arteaga scored the only goal in the 69th minute of the game.
