Biratnagar's Phulbari Cricket Club and Birat Sporting Club have won the first Koshi Pradesh Day-Night T-10 Cricket Tournament.

In the first match on Tuesday, Phulbari defeated Elite Cricket Qubal by 10 wickets and in the second match, Virat Sporting defeated Purvanchal Cricket Academy by 7 wickets. With the win, both teams have added 2-2 points.

In the first match, Phulbari completed the target of 99 runs given by Elite in 5.5 overs. Alok Manjay, the opener of Phulbari, scored an unbeaten 48 off 15 balls. He hit 7 sixes and 1 four. He was declared the player of the match. Khandak Bohra contributed 48 runs in 20 balls. He hit 4 sixes and 5 fours. Before that, Elite, who batted first, lost 3 wickets and presented a challenge of 98 runs. Ankit Goswami contributed 36 runs in 16 balls, Sushant Mishra contributed 24 runs in 14 balls and Abhishek Paul contributed 20 runs in 13 balls. Phulbari bowlers Bhuvan Karki, Deepak Raj and MD Kaif took 1 wicket each.

In the second match, Virat Sporting defeated the Eastern Cricket Academy by 7 wickets. Virat completed the target of 76 runs in 8.1 overs by losing 3 wickets while Khalid Alam scored 26 off 12 balls and Sudarshan Kumar contributed 24 runs off 24 balls. Vikas Lohia of Purvanchal took 2 wickets and Manjit Shrestha took 1 wicket. Prior to that, Purvanchal, who batted first, was limited to 75 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. For him, Pawan Kumar added 28 runs off 14 balls and Nirajan Laddy added 20 runs off 15 balls. Virat's Ashutosh Singh, Khalid Alam and Pratik Pokharel took 2 wickets each.

7 different clubs of the country are participating in the tournament organized by Biratnagar Metropolitan City-6 and four Indian players are contracted in each club. The winner of the

competition will get a prize of Rs 5 lakh and the runner-up will get a prize of Rs 2 lakh, said Akshay Sahni, the organizer of the ward. For conducting the competition, temporary floodlights have been arranged on bamboo poles at a cost of 12 lakhs in Biratnagar 6 Barampura.
