Dharan Football Club has become Sunsari District League Champion. In the final match held on Thursday at Dharan Stadium, Dharan became the league champion by defeating Rashtriya Jagriti Club of Itahari by 5-4 in penalty shootout.

Dharan, who became the league champion, received a cash prize of 50,000 and was chosen for the state league. Rashtriya Jagri, who became the runner-up, won 30,000 rupees.

After the two teams tied 1-1 at the scheduled time, the decision of the game was taken directly from the penalty shootout. Similarly, in the second semi-final, Rashtriya Jagruti defeated Dharan's Godhuli Football Club 2-1 and secured a place in the final. In the league stage match, Rashtriya Jagruti won 3 out of 4 matches and drew in 1 match.

Dharan Football Club made it to the semi-finals with 8 points, 2 wins and 2 draws in 4 games played in the league stage. The league held in coordination with the All Nepal Football Association from 26th of Baisakh was held at two places in Itahari and Dharan region.
