Astha Raut has won the 10 km race of Kathmandu Pink Careathon held in the capital on Saturday with the aim of raising awareness about women's health and fitness. Manita Ghatami came second and Sangeeta Tamang came third in the race held at the National Police Training Institute, Maharajganj.

While Kalpana Ghimire won the 5 km race, Sushila Rana came second and Mamita Dhami came third. Tirsna Kumari won the 3 km race. Seema Bindari was second and Parvati Chaudhary was third.

About 2000 women from 2 years to 70 years participated in the Pink Careathon. Ledgerport Nepal has organized Pink Careathon in collaboration with Nepal Police Wives Association.

The main objective of the program is to inspire women who are always busy with household work and daily life to find time for their health, said Namraj Joshi, chairman of the organizer, Leisureport Nepal. Sunita Dangol, Deputy Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, informed that the city has recently started free cancer screening to support women's healthcare and treatment. Laxmi Parajuli Kunwar, President of the Police Women's Association, Jai Bhanushali, TV presenter and artist of India gave the award to the winning players.

Earlier this event was held in the name of Kathmandu Pinkathon, this year it was held in Kathmandu Pink Careathon. This event, which has been held for three consecutive years until 2019, is the first time since the Corona epidemic.
