The final match of the 4th edition of YY Panchthar Gold Cup will be held today. The host Panchthar Club and the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club are going to face each other for the title in the final which will be held at the stadium of Fidim Mavi at 2 pm.
The host team entered the final after defeating Wagmati Football Club Sarlahi in the semi-final, while Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Jhapa Football Club and reached the final.
Speaking at a press conference held at the stadium on the eve of the final, the captain and coach of the title claimant Tribhuvan Army and host Panchthar Club claimed to win the title by finding each other's weaknesses and playing strategically.
Panchthar club captain Roshan Angdembe commented that it is an opportunity for the host team to compete with a strong club like Tribhuvan Army at home ground.
Army will play the game with a show of strength, but as many errors were found in the players, he claimed that they will win the title by finding the weaknesses of the opposing team.
Tribhuvan Army Club has also commented on the host team as strong competitors. Looking at the situation of the previous two matches, coach Adarsh Malla claims that the host team should not feel weak, so they will find the mistakes of the players and leave after winning the title.
The host team, which is going to compete against the Army at home with local players, is confident that it will get more than 90 percent of the audience, while Tribhuvan Army Club claims that 50 percent of the audience will support their team after looking at the game and the condition of the players.
8 teams from Nepal and India participated in the 4th edition of the Panchthar Goldup football tournament which started on February 12th. Out of which 4 teams were eliminated from the first stage and 2 teams from the second stage. According to the organizer Panchthar Club, the winning team of the
competition will get a cash prize of 5 lakh 5 thousand and the runner-up will get a prize of 2 lakh 55 thousand rupees. Panchthar Gold Cup is the highest amount competition in the district.
