One person died after drowning in the lake of Batase Jharna in Shuklaphanta Municipality-8 of Kanchanpur.
Police said that 20-year-old Saroj Tamta of Shuklaphanta 8 Phuleli, who had gone for a picnic on Tuesday, died.
According to DSP Umesh Joshi of District Police Office Kanchanpur, the body of Tamta, who went missing after jumping into the lake while going for a picnic on Tuesday, was found on Wednesday. Batase waterfall is located in Chure forest area.
