The bodies of two people who were swept away in the Ganyad River in Marma Rural Municipality-5 Murai have been found. Police said that the bodies of both of them, who went missing late Sunday evening while crossing the river, were found on Monday.

According to District Police Office Darchula, 25-year-old Jhupa Tamta and his 6-year-old son Ain Bik, a resident of Murai, went missing after being swept away by the river.

7:30 am Gyanendra Bahadur Singh, Information Officer of the District Police Office, said that their bodies were found in the Baskhola, 2/3 meters below the place of the landslide. Shortly after receiving the news of the incident, the police team under the command of Police Inspector Darshan Khadka from the area police office Latinath found the body of the missing person.

As a new road was built around the river, stones and mud were washed into the river. There was a sudden heavy rain in that area and they were washed away by the torrent of the river which came with stones and mud from the steep place.
