2 children died in a fire on Monday morning in Melekh Village-6 Shodsha of Achham. According to District Police Office Achham, Gopal Bohra, the 6-year-old son of local Ramesh Bohra and Bhavna Bohra, the 8-year-old daughter of Deepak Bohra, died when a fire broke out on the barren thatched roof of Khamm Bohra of Mellekh Rural Municipality-6 Shodasha.

DSP Santosh Pathak, Chief of District Police Office Achham, said that after the fire in Shodsha, which is 10 kilometers east of the center of Mellekh Rural Municipality, a police team went to the scene.

A month ago, two children died in a fire in Melekh Rural Municipality-4 Thanti. Niruta Budha, 6 years old, of Nand Budha and Ankit Budha, 3 years old son of Jagat Budha, burnt to death inside the shed due to the fire that started in the dry grass. During the period of one month, 4 children have died due to fire in Mellekh Rural Municipality alone.
