A scooter driver died on Tuesday night due to a collision with a tipper in Manhari rural municipality-7 Ramantar of Makwanpur along the east-west highway.
Police said that 47-year-old Dil Bahadur Tandan Chhetri of Nawalparasi Madhyavindu Municipality-14 died when the tipper No. 7 B 8449 going from Manhari to Chitwan hit the scooter No. 02-030 P 1631 going from Hetaunda to Chitwan.
The scooter driver Kshetri was injured in the collision of the tipper. He was immediately taken to the old medical college in Chitwan for treatment. Makwanpur police spokesperson DSP Lakshmi Bhandari said that he died during the treatment.
