The police have arrested a man after two years on the charge of absconding after forcing him to marry.
The police arrested 31-year-old Leela Bahadur Gurung of Makalu rural municipality-5 Mansima.
It is alleged that he escaped by forcing a young woman to marry her in 079 Chait. Police Inspector Ram Kumar Lamichhane of District Police Office said that he was arrested from Dharan sub-metropolitan city of Sunsari-16 Hansmarg.
According to him, a special team of the police arrested Gurung from Dharan after the complaint of the victim. According to the police, Gurung is being investigated in the extortion case under the Criminal Code, 2074.
