One-way traffic has been operated on the southern road section under the Mahendra highway which was blocked by the landslide. According to the police, the road was blocked from 3 o'clock this morning when the rain that fell last night washed away the diversion of the road under construction in Daunne. The road has been operating one-way for some time.
According to the District Police Office Kawasoti, the road that was blocked after the rains that fell on Monday night caused a landslide in the thumsi of Ghindakot is still not operational. . As the highway was blocked, hundreds of travelers who traveled east-west via Mahendra Highway have been stranded in Thumsi since 3 o'clock this morning.
The police have informed that they are trying to open the highway by using a dozer.
The Chinese contractor company that is working on widening the Mahendra Highway has been demolishing the highway for years, but the highway is blocked when there is a light rain.
