The ruling party and the opposition parties have agreed on the establishment of a parliamentary investigation committee on the cooperative fraud case.
After discussions for about three hours in the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, on Monday evening, the leaders of the ruling party and the opposition have agreed to form a common opinion regarding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee. But the mandate of the parliamentary committee has not been prepared.
After the meeting, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri said that the discussion is consensus oriented and the working group meeting will be held tomorrow morning to decide.
'Today, along with the Prime Minister, the leaders of the ruling party and the opposition sat and discussed continuously for about three hours . It is almost a consensus situation. But it has been prepared on paper . We will hold a meeting of the working group tomorrow at 11 o'clock and finalize the language of the mandate,' he said. That meeting will take the final decision.'
He said that it was discussed to form a parliamentary committee, the mandate of such a committee should mention the names of distressed cooperatives and loan companies, but not mention the names of individuals. "We have already asked not to mention the name of the person." The opposition had a stand on that. But now they are also positive about agreeing to go,' he said.
Law Minister Giri claimed that the working group meeting at 11 o'clock on Tuesday will decide on the parliamentary committee and then the budget will be presented at the joint meeting of the federal parliament and the parliament will operate smoothly. The budget also comes. After that, the meeting of the House of Representatives will also be conducted in a smooth environment,' he said reassuringly.
Congress chief whip Ramesh Akhtar also said that after a long discussion in the meeting, a consensual environment was decided. 'It has not been agreed . There are still things to be discussed internally within the party,' he said, 'but it is a matter that must be agreed upon. Tomorrow at 11 o'clock the meeting of the working group will be held and all matters will be decided.'
Before the meeting of the working group, the Congress has said that it will discuss the parliamentary party of the party at 10 am on Tuesday.
