MP Madhav Sapkota of the Maoist Center, which is leading the government, said that the arrest of Kantipur Media Group Chairman Kailash Sirohia was wrong. MP Sapkota says that it is wrong to arrest Sirohia, the president of media group, by raising the issue of citizenship while Kantipur is continuously publishing on issues such as misappropriation of cooperative funds.
Sirohia, president of Kantipur Media Group, was arrested by the police from the office of Kantipur Dainik on Tuesday. Chairman Sirohia was arrested from the office of Kantipur Daily while Kantipur was continuously publishing news with the facts and evidence of the involvement of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane.

The president of Kantipur Media Group, Sirohia, was arrested from the office on Tuesday on the pretext that the citizenship number given by the district administration matched that of another person.
