The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has banned 5 people including Yuvraj Adhikari, Chairman of Nepal Air Service Corporation, from doing aviation related work in the incident of taking the plane to Naples, Italy without the permission of the regulatory body.

5, including the president of the corporation, were banned from working in aviation

On Sunday, a widebody aircraft of the Nepal Airlines Corporation was flown to Italy via Dubai without the permission of the regulatory body. The corporation's plane reached Dubai with passengers on a regular flight and from there it reached Italy in a free 5 and a half hour flight. Spokesperson Hansraj Pandey said that the information about this was received by the government agency that regulates the aircraft only the next day, Monday. The corporation's widebody aircraft has been at the Naples airport in Italy since Sunday. The Annapurna (Alpha Lima Yankee) aircraft will remain there for a month for mandatory maintenance (C Check) every two years.

The regulatory body authority has grounded the pilots Maheshwaraman Dangol and Raman Ghimire who flew the plane from Dubai on the charge of not arranging the paperwork and taking it to an unlicensed ship repair organization (MRO). Not only the pilots, the authority has banned the executive chairman of the corporation, Yuvraj Adhikari, from working in a responsible role (accountable manager).

'It seems that the aircraft that flew to Italy without obtaining approval from the authority has reached an unapproved location,' the letter given to the Prime Minister's Office by the Flight Safety Standards Department under the authority also says, 'It seems that the Nepal Airlines Corporation has not followed the orders and instructions issued by the Authority Act, Section 31 of 053 .' The authority has banned the executive chairman of the corporation Yuvraj Adhikari from acting as 'accountable manager' on Tuesday.

To investigate this incident, the authority has formed a four-member investigation committee under the coordination of civil aviation expert Bhesharaj Subedi. The authority has also banned the corporation's engineer Gyan Bahadur Kunwar, director of operations department Deepuraj Jwarchan from doing aviation related work. After the ship reached Italy, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, showing concern about it, directed Tourism Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang to understand the truth.

On the fourth day after the incident, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation held a meeting with the authority and the top officials of the corporation. "It was seen that the corporation took the ship to Italy without completing the paperwork," Hemraj Tamang, the ministry's joint secretary, told Kantipur -break There is a rule that regular or emergency maintenance of engines and other parts of any ship in commercial flight should be done only at authorized or recognized organizations. The corporation said that the delay in getting the permission was due to the prolongation of the contract process related to ship repair. The Corporation has issued a statement on Tuesday night stating that the delay in obtaining the permission was due to the prolongation of the ship repair contract process. The corporation issued a statement saying that as per the approved repair program of the widebody, only 4 days were left, so they had to rush the ship from Dubai to Italy.

The widebody's sea check should be started within June 26 (Wednesday) and since the time is very short, the Corporation requested on June 20 to postpone it by 2 months as stipulated in the ship repair program approved by the authority.
