Footballers Mission Together is going to honor former football players, referees and coaches in a program in the capital on Tuesday, June 11.
Footballer's Mission has said that it has tried to remember the personalities who have enhanced the reputation of the nation through football and contributed to the development of football.
President of Footballer's Mission Ashokratna Vajracharya said that this honor program was held to appreciate the contribution of old players. The mission had earlier also honored former players, coaches and referees till 1977.
This year, about 150 former national male and female players, referees and coaches will be honored this year, according to Dhirendra Pradhan, Secretary General of the Footballer's Mission.
The Mission has launched a program called Safe Life after Games. General Secretary Pradhan informed that there is a plan to provide health insurance for disabled ex-players and personalities related to football association, free education (in Trinity College) for one family member of Footballer's Mission, grassroots program with the support of Nagarjuna Municipality and ANFA, treatment in various hospitals.
Nagarjuna Municipality is the main sponsor of this program to boost the spirit of old players. It is said that various associations including Lining, KTM City, Bottlers Nepal and Trinity College are supporting it.
