Nepal Golf Association has honored former number one amateur golfer Subas Tamang and senior sports journalist Shyam Chitrakar.

The association honored them on the occasion of its annual general meeting on Monday. President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevanram Shrestha awarded Subas with a certificate of one lakh. In this amount, the association provided 75,000 rupees and Vice President Fursang Lama provided 25,000 rupees.

Nepali golf's most successful player Subas won double gold in the 13th South Asian Games. He won team gold and individual silver along with Sadbhava Acharya in Bangladesh Open.

Subas is also the winner of the 122nd edition of the All India Amateur Open. He is the first Nepali golfer to win the prestigious title in India. Appreciating this success, the Sangh has given Suwash Respected. He started his professional career this year.

The painter has been honored with 25,000 for his contribution to the promotion of golf.

The Annual General Meeting of Nepal Golf Association has appointed Deepak Acharya as General Secretary and Shriram Bhandari as Secretary. Acharya and Bhandari were appointed when the general meeting passed the nomination agenda presented by the working committee. In the general meeting, the annual report of Secretary General Deepak and Treasurer Kisan Agarwal was passed.
