Hanami BFC Chitwan has won the second match of the first Tilaurakot Gold Cup football tournament with the highest prize money in Lumbini region. Chitanav defeated Machindra Club Kathmandu 5-4 in a penalty shootout on Sunday at Buddha Rangshala in Jitpur, Kapilvastu.
Chitwan's goalkeeper Bhavindra Malla became the hero in the penalty shootout after failing to score a goal in the scheduled 90 minutes. Bhavindra, who saved a goal, was the player of the match. He received 10,000 in cash along with the trophy.
The winning team of the tournament organized by Kapilvastu District Football Association from March 17th to 24th will be awarded a shield, medal and certificate with Rs. In the
competition, 4 of national level A division and 4 of Mofusal The
team is involved. On Monday, there is a competition between Nepal Police and Sahara Club Pokhara.
