Surendra Bahadur Pal, chief whip of the parliamentary party of the party, informed that the meeting held on Wednesday of the Sudurpaschim UML parliamentary party decided to give a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Sodari.

He said that UML will not participate in the provincial government immediately despite the vote of confidence. Chief Whip Pal said, 'UML will not participate in the provincial government until another instruction comes from the Centre.' There is an agenda for taking the vote of confidence.

CPN Unified Socialist Parliamentary Party leader and Chief Minister Sodari was appointed as the Chief Minister of the province on May 6.

The meeting called by Chief Minister Sodari on 21st and 22nd of Baisakh to take the vote of confidence was postponed after the power partner UML had not prepared and held a stand that further discussions were needed.

Sodari was appointed as the Chief Minister of the state with the support of UML, Maoist Center, two state assembly members of Civil Liberation Party and independent Dr. Tara Joshi.
