Two people were injured in a bear attack in Thalara Rural Municipality. The injured are 60-year-old Madanraj Joshi and 13-year-old Devshara Joshi of Thalara-8. They are father and daughter.
The police said that they were attacked by a bear on Saturday when they went to see a beehive near their house. Sugam Khadka, an ambulance driver of Thalara rural municipality, said that their face, head, body and hands were seriously injured due to the bear attack. The injured are currently being treated at District Hospital Bajhang.
A bear is seen in Thalara, which is located in the central area of Khaptad National National Park. After the attack by the bear, the local people of that area have started panicking.
