Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city has allocated a budget of 2 billion 42 crore 77 lakh 18 thousand rupees for the financial year 2081/082. Deputy Chief Humakumari DC presented the budget in the 15th session of the Municipal Assembly on Sunday.

in which current expenditure is 1 billion 27 million 10 million 12 thousand i.e. 52.35 percent and capital expenditure is 1 billion 15 million 67 million 6 thousand i.e. 47.65 percent. New programs like declaration of sexual violence-free city, declaration of safe foreign employment city and not allowing arable land to remain barren have been included in the budget . In the

budget, priority has been given to agriculture-related schemes such as irrigation, deep boring, Kula, construction of dams, distribution of materials to farmers with subsidies. Similarly, 3 crore 23 lakh 51 thousand rupees have been allocated for agriculture development program including land bank program to prevent arable land from becoming barren.

12 million rupees have been allocated for animal husbandry, 283 million 75 thousand rupees for tourism and culture promotion, and 84 million 84 million 47 thousand rupees for education, youth and sports. 9.26 lakh 85 thousand rupees have been allocated for public health promotion, 11.11 lakh 30 thousand rupees for women, children and social inclusion and 50 crore 94 lakh rupees for multi-year infrastructure development.

815 million 53 million 45 thousand rupees have been allocated for infrastructure development including roads, drinking water, electricity, parks, gardens, and 3 million million 53 million 45 thousand rupees for sanitation, forest, environment and disaster management. 7 million rupees have been allocated for information and communication technology, 150 million 29 million 87 thousand rupees for the ward office and 36 million rupees for daily operations, internal management, and salary allowance.
