Road closure in Palpa for widening and slope works

As the builders were unable to work on time, the road division Palpa closed the road for 12 hours daily during the afternoon on the Palpa-Gulmi road section.
The road was closed for the whole day to make the construction businessmen who did not complete the contract work of the previous year (year 2079/80) to work. Baburam Sapkota, Head of Divisional Road Office, Palpa, said that the road was closed from 8 am to 7 pm daily for widening of the road from Laguwa to Jorte Bhir around the Palpa-Gulmi road.

He said that due to the delay in the work that should have been completed last year, he is going to close the road completely in the afternoon after the meeting with the District Security Committee.
Ranjit Ranjan Construction has also requested road closure permission for the 140 meter road slope in the uphill part from Jorte to Laghwa. According to the road division, he was also given this time to work on the slope. For the past three years, the road has been widened in Jorte area, and the road has been closed for more than 6 months for the slope, but it has not been completed yet. The road division has demanded daily road closures till June 26. As a result, passengers going to and from Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Baglung etc. have suffered.
In Tansen, the Urban Development and Building Department closed the road for 19 days for the construction of a 91-meter road slope and drainage and made construction professionals work. As a result, from June 6th, Tansen's bus park - Dhungakhani road has been completely closed. Here, the road has been completely closed for the construction of slopes and drains.
They have not got a vehicle to go to Dhungakhani through Tansen's bus park . Vehicles have been sent using Tansen bypass road (Holangdi-Dhungakhani) road. According to the district police office, vehicles going to Gulmi were sent through Ranimahal. The vehicles have to be diverted by placing the police at the crossroads.
