The issue of illegal extortion by Mirchaiya Health Nursing Campus from students has entered the Parliament. Janmat Party MP Abdul Khan raised the issue of illegal fee collection by the campus in Parliament on Thursday.
He drew the government's attention to the news broadcast on Kantipur television on Wednesday and Thursday in Kantipur and demanded an answer on the matter.
'Nowadays there is corruption in the education sector across the country,' he said, 'Kantipur has exposed the issue of Mirchaiya Health Nursing Campus operating in Mirchaiya of Siraha illegally extorting lakhs of money from students. As prescribed by CTVT, only 4 lakh 75 thousand fees can be charged for three years of nursing. That too, in the first installment, only 190,000 can be taken. However, the bank receipts collected by this college from the students in a single year up to 4 lakhs have been made public.'
He also drew the government's attention to the fact that this college collected 20,000 rupees per person against the law in the name of experimental class from the students and that the college also made hostels mandatory for 2,000 per person by keeping up to 6 people in the same room.
He demanded the government's answer on this matter and said, 'If the government and the government machinery were honest, how could a college have the courage to do such arbitrariness?'
