The police have seized 2 vehicles with Indian numbers carrying rags brought from Birganj by evading customs.

At around 5:30 pm on Wednesday evening, a cargo pick-up truck and a tractor carrying different types of clothes passed through the integrated security check post. Based on the information that they were going towards Birgunj, the checking team deployed from the District Police Office Parsa took control of both the vehicles from Birgunj Metropolitan City-25 unruly road section.

BR 05 GA 9042 cargo pickup and BR 22 Q 7727 tractor were taken into police custody. The declaration letter accompanying the goods was found to be carrying more than the online visit bill.

Different types of clothes worth 40 lakh 36 thousand 2 hundred 1 rupees were seized from both the vehicles and handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office Pathalaiya Bara on Thursday for necessary action, DSP Kumar Vikram Thapa informed.
