Enrollment campaign in Madhes: MP Thapa took custody of 3 children

As part of the admission campaign, Shree Madhyamik Vidyalaya located in Bardiwas-4 has started a door-to-door campaign with the aim of enrolling 250 students in this academic session, said Principal Navraj Dahal.

He said that because there are more poor and Dalits living in the school area, many children are still out of school, so he started door-to-door campaign. According to him, there are 60 percent female students and 40 percent male students in the school and 550 students are currently studying in the school.

About 15 students, including 6-year-old Prabas Dahal of Bardiwas-4, have been enrolled in the door-to-door campaign started by the school on Monday. Saying that it is a challenge to keep children in school, the campaign cannot be considered successful just by enrolling them, Madhes Province MP Sardadevi Thapa said.

She welcomed the new students who came to enroll in that school and promised to take over the guardianship of one child from a poor family. She has already taken up the guardianship of two children. She also urged the parents to send them to school and the teachers to play an important role in keeping them in school for 6 hours a day.

MP Thapa has adopted the guardianship of Lakshmi Saddar of Bhangaha-5 Rajpur Praviki and Roshni Sada of Janata Mavi of Bardiwas-2. Apart from the school's expenses for education and extra expenses to encourage education, 2 girls have been paying by themselves and now one more child. She said that she is ready to take up parenthood.
