In accordance with the aim of fulfilling the aspirations of 'Digital Nepal Framework 2076', the government has established the 'National Cyber Security Centre'. Rajkumar Maharjan, deputy secretary of the ministry and head of the cyber security branch, informed that the center, which has its office in the old Ministry of Home Affairs at Singha Darbar, has started its work.

The Council of Ministers meeting on January 9 decided to establish a National Cyber Security Center. A structure of 12 employees has been formed to operate the center. According to the regulations regarding cyber security center, the person, company or organization that wants to provide cyber security services must obtain a permit. It is stated that the type of permit, the qualifications required to obtain each permit, the permit fee, the permit renewal fee, the conditions of the permit and other related provisions should be as prescribed.
