Oli's political report: The rise of populists and the expansion of power of the right wing in the last election are understandable

Presenting a political report at the party's convention representative council meeting held at Sunrise Hall in Godavari, Lalitpur on Saturday, President Oli has discussed the National Independent Party as a patriotist power and the Congress as a traditionalist right-wing power.

President Oli says that the rise and power expansion of both parties in the last election is new and a matter of discussion. Mentioning that the country has to pay a huge price today because of the election result, Oli said that it is necessary for UML to move forward with positive forces to work for the nation and the people.

'The rise of populist or populist forces in the elections and the expansion of power of traditionalist right-wing parties are new and remarkable events. In the meantime, there has been an increase in frustration in the society due to the extreme political distortions, crisis in the economic and business sectors and shrinking of the employment sector and the problems in governance and service delivery,' said Oli . Populism on the one hand and right-wing forces on the other hand seem to have succeeded to some extent in using the dissatisfaction of the people.

'They can expose and exploit such problems . But they don't have a solution for it," President Oli said. He also says that the alternative of democratic republic cannot be any type of autocracy.
