Balendra Sah, head of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has said that the construction of the heritage should be done in the ancient style. Speaking at the opening ceremony of Ratnaketu Mahabihar reconstruction at Thaymaru in Kathmandu on Thursday, Mayor Sah emphasized that while reconstructing heritage sites in Kathmandu valley, the old style should be given importance.
He said that the reconstruction of old-style properties will increase the business instead of reducing it. He said that as civilization increases, business and lifestyle will increase . He said that the metropolis is always ready to help for the reconstruction of the assets within the metropolis.
Mayor Sah also asked the ward presidents to ask for the necessary budget for the reconstruction of the heritage. He urged the Metropolitan Corporation to ask for the budget at once and complete all the reconstruction works at once, without suspecting that it will not be given if they ask for all the budget at once.
