The extended list (longlist) for the Padma Shri Literary Award-2080 has been published. Khemlal-Harikala Lamichhane Social Welfare Foundation has published 15 books as a longlist in the first phase. The selection committee also announced that a short list of the best 5 books will be published next month out of 15 books.
V.No. The foundation informed that the expanded list was selected based on the receipt of 186 literary books published in 2080.
Last year, Devi Prasad Subedi was awarded the Padma Shri literature award for the novel 'Manu'. The foundation has been awarding literary awards based on the selection of the jury since 2063. Every year
Foundation has been awarding Padma Shri Gaurav to personalities who have contributed to the society for a long time and Padma Shri Sadhana Award to those who have actively contributed in the field of art. Literary award, Padma Shri Gaurav and Padma Shri Sadhana, all the three awards are worth three lakh rupees each.
