Premsagar Karmacharya, Nepal's highest century blood donor, donated blood for the 178th time at Chainpur in Bajhang on Thursday.
Centenary Blood Donor Karmacharya donated blood in an interactive gathering for the formation of the 38th Bajhang District of Nepal Volunteer Blood Donor Society organized by the then Constituent Assembly member Chandra Joshi as the chief guest. Karmacharya was presented with a certificate of honor by the chief guest on behalf of Bajhang district.
Donor Karmacharya said that since there is still a lack of awareness among the youth about the need to donate blood, he went to different districts to donate blood for motivation.
The gathering has formed the Bajhang district branch of the Nepal Volunteer Blood Donor Society under the chairmanship of Saraswati Joshi. In which Basanti Joshi, Secretary Mahendra Bahadur Khadka, Treasurer Pashupati Bhatt have been selected as Vice President.
members include Bam Bahadur Bhandari, Purna Bahadur Bhandari, Shyam Nepali, D.B. Bista, Ramesh Khati, Indra Bahadur Bohra, Kalpana Rokaya and Devichandra Thapa have been selected and Sanjeev Bhandari and Gangaprasad Joshi have been selected as advisors: Lal Bahadur Dhami will be the coordinator. In the
program, Central President of Nepal Volunteer Blood Donor Society and Volunteer Centenary Blood Donor Premsagar Karmacharya provided the newly formed working committee with the new year's enlightening wall calendar and other publications of the society.
