17 people from Banke and Bardia were taken by Vijay Sunar of Kohalpur in the last week of November for labor in Uchakot area. 5 people returned home in February. Other workers were also going to return home in the first week of Chait. But they were not able to come without the contractor paying the wages . "In the end, we only gave 25,000 as travel expenses, we were coming home after sharing," said Prem Budha of Bardiya Basgadhi Municipality-1 Babai, "The car did not move forward and the accident happened." He brought the dead body along with relatives of the deceased after the accident.

According to Budha, the water supply project in Uchakot was completed a week ago. Even though the work was finished in the hope of getting wages, everyone stayed there . In the end, after only getting the house rent, even though it was evening, the accident happened when he was about to leave.

In India's Uttarakhand and Himachal regions, a large number of Nepalese are working in agriculture, construction and heavy lifting. But the relatives of those who died in road accidents or accidents at work do not get any relief . It is not found that even normal precautions are taken for the safety of Nepalis working in risky areas .

'There is no relief when Nepalese workers die due to the inability to organize India-bound migration,' said Prakashchandra Madai, co-executive director of Needs Nepal, a non-governmental organization working in the field of immigration for a long time. In the last week of March, 7 people died in a jeep accident in Uchakot area. Out of which 6 are from Baijnath Rural Municipality of Banke and 1 from Basgadhi Municipality of Bardia. All the dead bodies of Baijnath were brought home and the last rites were performed, while one person from Basgarhi was performed at Nainital.

Relatives of the deceased said that even when the body was brought home for the last rites, it was sent in a plastic bag instead of in an orderly and safe manner.
