30-year-old Ramesh Tiruwa of Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-4 of Calikot died in an accident at Darimtar, Hetounda sub-metropolis-19 of Makwanpur under East-West Highway.
On Saturday evening, when the tractor No. 7 No. 4376 coming from Manhari towards Hetaunda hit the motorcycle No. 70 No. 7189, which was going from the opposite direction, Thiruwa who was riding the motorcycle was seriously injured. After treatment at CMC Churehill Hospital in Hetaunda, Tiruwa was sent to Chitwan for further treatment on Saturday night. Tiruwa was also taken from Chitwan to Kathmandu at 3 am on Sunday. Lakshmi Bhandari, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of District Police Office Makwanpur, said that Tiruva died at 11 am on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Kathmandu Trauma Center.
Motorcyclist Muskan Glan, 37 years old from Torikhet, Chitwan Bharatpur Metropolitan City-5, was injured. Makwanpur District Police Office informed that the tractor driver is absconding and search operation is on.
