The police have seized smuggled fertilizer worth around Rs 10 lakh from Birganj. Based on the information that the smugglers smuggled Indian fertilizer to Birganj and illegally stored it, the team deployed from the district police office seized it.
At 5 o'clock on Thursday evening, Birgunj Metropolitan City- 16 in front of Baishnodevi Temple, excrement was recovered from Brij Kishore Mahato's house.
It has been revealed that 62-year-old Gyan Bahadur Mahato of Nawalparasi Kawasoti Municipality-9 rented a room in his house and stored the fertilizer in an unauthorized manner after illegally importing it from India. 712 sacks of Indian manure were recovered from the godown. Each bag contains 50 kg of fertilizer.
Parsa police spokesperson DSP Deepak Bharti informed that Mahato was taken into custody and handed over to Birganj Customs Office for necessary action.
