Chandranagar Rural Municipality of Sarlahi has barely got the budget after 9 months. Rajkumar Mahato, chairman of the rural municipality, said that the village assembly held on Sunday in Chandranagar unanimously approved the budget worth Rs 593 million 59 thousand 769 71 paise.
With the village assembly bringing the budget, now the way is open for the development and construction work along with the release of salaries and allowances.
The village meeting that was supposed to be held in June could not be held due to disputes and political interference among the people's representatives.
Social Security Allowance could not be disbursed in Chandranagar since July because the budget could not be brought in time. The employees were working without pay for 9 months. Construction works were also stopped.
Earlier, the budget was passed by a town meeting on the basis of majority in Haripurwa municipality of the district on February 7th amid tight security.
