The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 5.58 points on Wednesday. Compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE decreased by 0.26 percent to 2 thousand 79.71 points.
Out of those that came into trading on Wednesday, the share price of 83 companies increased, 158 decreased and the remaining 6 remained stable.
In the last few months, NEPSE has not been able to catch a clear pace. Neither has it decreased by a large number nor has the business increased significantly. On a daily basis, the NEPSE has decreased on most of the trading days, while the rest of the days have only increased. Looking at the rate of decrease, there is more decrease than increase. Experts say that this trend confirms that investors are not enthusiastic about the stock market.
On Wednesday, 80 lakh 42 thousand 767 shares were bought and sold in 49 thousand 733 transactions. Shares worth 3 billion 99 million 29 million rupees were traded in those purchases. Compared to the previous day, the transaction amount has also decreased. Shares worth 4.847 billion 4.44 billion rupees were traded on Tuesday.
