I will take the initiative to get the hotel recognized as an industry: Tourism Minister Tamang

Announcing the calendar prepared by the Hotel Association including the festivals, celebrations and fairs of all seven provinces, he expressed his belief that hotels should be recognized as an industry for the development and expansion of the hotel sector.

Businessmen have been demanding legal recognition of this sector as an industry as they have invested heavily in the hotel sector. Tourism Minister Tamang said that festivals and pilgrimages are a suitable way to promote the country's tourism and attract foreign tourists through a targeted calendar. He also uploaded and launched 'Cloudways E-Learning' training courses related to hospitality. He said that this course will help the workers and employees working in small and medium hotels in remote areas to develop their skills and abilities.

On that occasion, President of Hotel Association of Nepal, Vinayak Shah said that the calendar was published because foreigners seek information about the festivals and fairs of Nepal in the international tourism market. He expressed his belief that tourism will be promoted by distribution through domestic and foreign reputed tour operators as well as non-resident Nepali organizations and Nepali missions abroad.
