Defending champion Manchester City was eliminated from the quarter-finals of the European Champions League on Wednesday. City was defeated by Real Madrid in a tiebreaker. Along with Real, Bayern Munich also reached the semi-finals.
After the second leg match at City's home ground was tied at 1-1, the competition reached a tie of 4-4 . In the subsequent tiebreaker, Real won 4-3. At the scheduled time, Real took the lead with Rodrigo's goal.
Kevin De Bruyne then equalized for City. Bayern managed to beat Arsenal 1-0 in the second leg. With this, he took a decisive lead of 3-2. Joshua Kimmich scored the decisive goal for Bayern.
