A student was injured in the beating of a teacher in Salyan. 12-year-old Arun Bik, studying in class 6, was injured in the beating of Chakra Bahadur Dangi, a teacher of Salyan Public Institutional School in Luham Bazar, Triveni Rural Municipality 6 of the district.
Teacher Dangi hit the iron scale for being shy, and the boy Bik got a serious injury on his head. Mother Tulsa Bick said her son's head was severed when teacher Dangi threw an iron scale. The injured Arun has been taken home after treatment at District Hospital Salyan.
She informed that after informing the principal about the teacher Chakra Bahadur Dangi who beat up her son who was studying in the classroom, she filed a complaint at the Ela police office Luham for action. Teacher Dangi beat his son when he was 3 years old. At that time I did not pay much attention to it. Even now, the same teacher has beaten and injured her," she said.
Ganesh Acharya, head of the education branch of Triveni rural municipality, said that a discussion will be held on the matter of student beating on Monday with the victims, municipal and private school teachers and principals. He said that action will be taken against teacher Dangi if found guilty.
